Moving house shouldn't be fun, but somehow the team at LMS turned what could have been a stressful day into a fantastic (if admittedly long) experience.
TLDR: Lovely team, great value, would use again in a heartbeat.
The detail:
We used LMS to lift and shift our two houses into one in Queniborough last week.
My other half paid for a packing service, and by God I wish I'd done the same! At hers, a 3 man team descended and packed her massive house, ready to go in the van, by 3pm having started at 8am. I spent 3 *whole* days doing the same at mine on my own. The LMS packing service is worth 10x its value in time and reduced stress. I would now not consider doing my own packing ever again having seen LMS in action.
On moving day, the guys arrived early, explained exactly how the day would go. They put down sticky backed plastic on all the carpets for the day to protect them. My other half paid for furniture disassembly, they smashed this in no time.
They packed all our stuff carefully into their vans, at incredible density, and nothing - I mean nothing - was damaged in transit. They even made a 2nd trip to gather the last of the stuff from my garage, without question.
Throughout the whole day, the guys were fast, efficient, professional and so friendly. When it came to placing our stuff around our new home, *nothing* was too much trouble for the guys. They even moved stuff, without quibble, when we changed our mind about where things should go.
By the end of the day we'd spent a lot of time together, and honestly it was lovely to see how the team at LMS look after each other, and how they looked after us. We were so well looked after that any money we spent with them on the day was forgotten, they'd become just part of our team in moving house.

Fantastic experience with Leicester Movers and Storers! After a very stressful evening phoning round to find a new removals company, having been let down last minute by another company, Carly in the office saved the day and was happy to help us on the day we needed 🙂 everything was stress free with sensible options for any last minute date changes, that didn’t negatively affect us (not like the previous company we booked). When the move day came the team we had were professional, experienced, caring, and had a great sense of humour, which made, what could have been a very stressful experience, enjoyable! I was recommended Leicester Movers and Storers (LMS) by a family friend, and I am very pleased I decided to go with them in the end.
From the initial call with Carly, who was great and put our minds at rest, through to the team who collected our belongings to store safely in their warehouse, to the team and then redelivered our items three months later to our new home, it was a breeze!
Aaron and Nathan were gents, very careful unloading the items and then placing them where we required!

Aron and his team moved us today. They arrived on time, Aron had a walk round to double check what we wanted to go in the van. Amazing Team, I could not have asked more from Brad & his extremely hard working team. Yesterday we moved 120 miles from Leicestershire to St.Helens. The communication with Carly beforehand was fab, she was always available to answer questions and was so helpful and patient when the date kept changing! On moving day, storm Claudia hit so it was chucking down and really windy. Darren, Tick and Jack did an absolutely sterling job! They arrived promptly at 8am and got straight on with the job, and somehow managed to keep everything dry! They packed the van in really quick time, got to the new property and got straight on with unpacking. They worked like troopers, we were so impressed with them. They were cheerful, helpful, so professional and polite. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Extremely disappointing experience with Leicester Movers & Storers.
I used a full moving and packing service from LMS for a move in September 2025, which was insured for up to £100,000 according to their quotation. Unfortunately, multiple items were damaged, including a sofa, a badly scratched desk, irreparable scratch on a fridge, a bed base assembled without some slats that were left under the bed, and several broken glass items. Furniture especially beds were hastily placed far from walls leaving big gaps between the wall and beds / chests of drawers Heavy boxes labelled for upstairs rooms were left in the garage causing significant inconvenience. These are some of the issues encountered. Walls were also scuffed and dented more than usual at both old and new premises.
The company was not helpful and refused to attend to correct assembly of a TV bed stating that I had refused them access which is untrue.
I tried to resolve the matter directly and requested compensation. A nominal amount of £100 was offered without any assessment of damage caused. In response, I requested £360 in compensation for the damage and distress. The owner emailed to state compensation was conditional upon removal of all reviews before he would make payment. I agreed to amend the review once the payment was received, and an amount of £300 was agreed upon. However, after I removed my review in good faith, the company failed to pay. This can all be verified by email correspondence passing between myself and the owner. Unfortunately the company is now reporting my reviews on all platforms with a commitment to having them removed.
I am now in the process of considering my options to lodge a formal written complaint and escalating the matter to the relevant ombudsman. I had hoped to resolve this amicably, but based on my experience, I would advise anyone considering this company for a full pack and move service to exercise caution and to document everything carefully.
I will update this review once my complaint is formally concluded.

The team from LMS, Aaron, Nathan, Kav, Jack, Reece and Neil came to pack up my mothers possessions, and take them into storage, pending completion on her new house. They were fantastic trhoughout the two days, especially with my mother who was tired, confused and stressed. Nothing was too hard, and despite their being more than anticpated they managed to complete the job without a single complaint. A cracking bunch.

Lee the owner of LMS ( as I understood) did not stick to the agreed contract price/quote from his personal visit with a team member to our property ( rented) to estimate the volume and were compelled to dish out an extra £1k with an option to pay, or leave behind the remaining goods where a second van was required. By this time we had reached Southampton to receive our goods at our new residence and had no option but pay for it the the following day. There were no added items since Lee's visit. In fact we had disposed off quite a number of goods from our garage). Giving benefit of doubt Lee may have made an error but this was a costly one - certainly for me !!!
Aaron ( Manager) and his team were a delight to work with.
In spite of a extremely large volume of household items, all team members were calm and polite throughout the process.
The move was from Leicester to Southampton.
As such, from a service quality perspective I would rate it as 5*

We had a lot of stress with our house move as many things had gone wrong and we were using another removal company who wasn’t available on our moving date. We found LMS a week and half before we moved.
Darren, Rhys and Neil came early to load the lorry up and dismantled our big ottoman bed and they built it in our new house which we were very impressed with as it’s not an easy bed to build.
They were amazing, a little waiting around because they exchanged contracts and completed the same day but they were great and we are so grateful for their hard work that day.
They made our move day very easy and less stressful for us so thank you.

We had a really big move with complicated storage and new home arrangement, and paid for LMS to pack over two days, and one more day to move. It was 9 people over 3 days, and a lot to organise. We were very happy with the teams, lovely guys who went beyond, and had a great, happy outlook which made it better for all of us. It was very tough work, long hours, yet everyone was nice to speak to and kept up the wibe. We even had an aweful new neighbour complaining about the lorries offloading, and the guys were exceptional at managing it taking the pressure off. We really recommend these guys. Also very nice thing to hear was that the owner credits the workers/subs to take their time. It is a very demanding job, good to hear they are not run down to the tee. Also our property was packed and loaded properly. They took great care. Very happy. Can only recommend.

Brilliant from start to finish. Good advice on how to pack and prepare. We had a part pack service which was excellent with nothing broken. Carly and the office team were brilliant dealing with our complicated removal. We were forced to exchange and complete on the same day! The team gave us options should we not receive the keys and prepared a storage facility for us. Nathan, Aaron and the team were quick and efficient.The ability to change removal date up to 3 days before moving was invaluable. We would highly recommend them.

Darren, Tick, and Jack were very helpful. They coordinated very well. They were friendly, polite, and hardworking. A few cabinets were not easy to grasp and were heavy, but they managed to handle them. I would like to recommend LMS.

They carefully wrapped, packed everything,loaded it and unloaded it.They also dismantled the wardrobes and beds and built the beds for us.

I just love these guys!!! I am so glad they could fit us in with a weeks notice. The vendor of our new house was threatening to pull the plug if not done in 1 week. You made a desperate couple very happy.
The 3 guys had a great sense of humor and appreciated my packing and labelling system 🤣
Everything moved in with no issues, plenty of advice on leaving the fridges to stand and any knocks accounted for….they were actually already there and made by us!! Sorry should have mentioned that 🤣

All correspondence was responded to quickly. On the day of moving the 2 men arrived on time, they were both friendly and courteous and packed the house quickly with no issues.
When we arrived at our new home they unpacked the van and placed all items in the room of our choosing and they also helped to plumb in our washing machine as it was in a tight place.
I would recommend this company to anyone moving.

Such a great Company to work with. From my initial phone call, quote, packing, and the long drive to deliver, everything ran with efficient and professional ease. There were no breakages probably due to the great job with wrapping and packing. LMS have been brilliant and helped me through the whole process of moving. I suffer with extreme anxiety and the men that moved me were really kind and understanding and patient with me.
There were no breakages, as I was worried about some of my art and ceramics. They really took care in packing everything, which was amazing because I was so stressed about the packing.
They worked quickly and efficiently and I was moved into my new house earlier than expected.

LMS were absolutely fantastic in my recent move. The lads were all super polite and worked really fast and hard in packing us up on the moving day and getting us moved (into storage on this occasion).
They were really clear when stuff couldn't be carried, or if something already was damaged they'd flag it before loading.
They used plastic covers on the carpets to keep the floor clean.
LMS were ultra professional and I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

Lee and the team were absolute life savers when facilitating our office move. From helping to organise and dismantle all of the desks and PCs to setting up the other end, they were fantastic. We were in a difficult top floor location with a very large office full of furniture. They worked tirelessly throughout the day, I don’t know what we would have done without them. Can’t recommend enough!

Having been given a rather rapid move date, Lee was able to accommodate us on short notice. Lee and his team did an amazing job at moving us from Leicester to South Wales. This was our second time using them and as always, from booking with Lee to his team turning up and moving us we felt in safe hands. LMS were professional, quick and friendly. They stored our belongings overnight before the official moving in day giving us some much needed time to turn our house around ready for its new owners. I called Lee Robinson and although I was sure we would move on the given date I couldn't actually confirm. In the end after discussing a number of options including that of putting our belongings into storage for a few days we managed to do the move on the day. The crew were brilliant. They emptied the house at an incredibly fast pace and were no less quick when moving in. Everything was in the right place and there was no damage. We were forced to leave them to it for about 30 minutes we were so pleased. I would definitely use them again.

LMS Helped us move out of our house in a protracted house sale and purchase, we needed to change from a one day moving service to moving and storage over Christmas which they accommodated at short notice. They also accommodated some extra complications on moving out day and waved additional cost which was very helpful. Both moving in and out were speedy and all the movers were polite and helpful.

We are very pleased with the service we received from Lee and his team. Fantastic guys! We moved out of county, had to move in 2 shifts, initially in to a temporary accommodation while half of our stuff was in storage, then 4 weeks later moved in to the new home. It sounded complicated but they made it easy and everything went smoothly. We highly recommend them.

Lee and his team went out of their way to help me when my original removal company let me down. With only 24 hrs notice, lee was able to confirm a highly professional and skilled team, to move me and my family to our new home. The team were very friendly and supportive and provided me with complete solutions to what could have been an extremely stressful time.

LMS removals did an excellent job for us today. They've been great at being flexible and waiting for us to get the paperwork sorted so we can move and we were able to book them with 24 hours notice.
They arrived on time, organised and knew exactly what they were doing. The team handled all our possessions carefully and every care was taken to protect everything. They even had special packaging for the TV. They made moving house a lot less stressful and we're very pleased with their work. I'd fully recommend them and would definitely use them again.

I had problems with the house that I was initially moving to and Lee was fantastic with helping us out by changing the dates of the move at short notice.
